On September 15, 2022, the low-cost airline and new flag carrier of the Dominican Republic commenced operations. With its five 737 Max 8s, Arajet currently connects the island nation's two largest cities, Santo Domingo and Santiago, with more than 20 destinations on the American continents, from Canada in the north to Argentina in the south. A further 26 737 Max aircraft have been firmly ordered for a rapid expansion of the route Network.
