Description

Herpa

1:200 diecast model

On May 29, 2014, RA-89033 became UTair's first Superjet 100 to leave the paint shop in Ulyanovsk on the banks of the Volga River. The jet destined for UTair-Express received a livery specially developed for the aircraft type sporting folkloric patterns in bright colors. A second Superjet, RA-89034, was painted accordingly and was put on display a short time later, in July of the same year, at the Farnborough Air Show in England. However, due to financial difficulties, the Superjet never officially entered service. In the course of a major fleet reduction, around 50 aircraft were decommissioned and the order for 24 Superjets from Sukhoi was also cancelled. Thus, the display in Farnborough remained the only public appearance not only of this fresh livery, but also of the SSJ in the colors of UTair in general.
