Tamiya
1:48 model kit
Fuselage length: 221mm, wingspan: 264mm.
The world entered the Jet Age in the skies above Germany near the end of WWII as the Messerschmitt Me 262, the world's first operational jet fighter saw combat. This kit depicts the Me 262 A-1a variant and includes clear parts for the fuselage and engine nacelles. This enables a "see-through" effect in which internal details such as the 30mm cannons, fuel tanks, radio, and Jumo 004B engines may be viewed even after the model has been completed. The engines may even be displayed separately on included dollies. A die-cast nose weight is also conveniently included, as are parts to depict the R4M and W.GR.21 air-to-air rockets and 250kg bombs. Comes with a pilot figure and three marking options.
